Odessa – 166h x 166w

Inspired by Ukrainian whitework, this design combines textural surface stitches with pulled work and cutwork, some of it reminiscent of Hardanger. Very pale variegated threads add an extra dimension to what was originally a white-on-white technique. An alternative using standard DMC perles is also given.
